Private Label rights or PLR is a suffix used to describe articles that can be bought for as less as 15 to 20 cents each. They are good means to add search engine friendly content to your site at the same time making it more useful and interesting.
You might be in need of a lot of articles if you are building a large website or writing for forums or blogs or submitting to article directories. It would be time consuming and very very expensive to keep building new articles all the time.
One way to go about it is to hire writers using any of the freelance sites like Rent a coder or get a coder. If you have tried it already, you will realize that it is not as easy as it sounds.
Another route you could take is to take a shortcut through PLR articles provided by many websites that work on membership basis. However the membership to these sites is strictly limited. These websites offer good and well written articles for as little as 15c to 20c per article which may cost up to $5 - $7 to produce.
These articles may be used by several others too. The beauty here is that these articles can be rewritten or altered slightly to suit your subject and keyword densities and then published as new. All rights pertaining to these articles are given away to you and you can do with them as you wish. The membership to these PLR article sites is limited because of the fact that not many people can be given access to the same articles, lest they be published one too many times.
This PLR system of using articles in the long run turns out be a bargain because of the low cost of the articles, saving cost and good results because of the high quality of these articles. One may ask, hoe the PLR sites can afford to give away articles for so less? They can afford to, because, they are getting their cost back by selling the articles multiple times.
A little bit of rewriting is strongly recommended because; you need to optimize these articles with your keywords and at the same time, adjust the keyword density. This little rewriting exercise will also lend uniqueness to these articles, at the same time adding a tone and your personality.
Many webmasters may take the route of publishing these articles as they are, or just by adding an introduction and an ending. Many also use RSS feds to add content to their web pages.
Whatever you may want to do, spending 15c to 20c on an article, will give you a skeleton in the first place and help you to build upon the already existing idea, thus saving time and cost.
Many PLR sites advertise saying that they have only 200 or 300 memberships left and right now maybe there are 20 -30 available. Don't decide by these hypes; check out their samples and topics that they offer articles on, before deciding. |
