There are many who would suggest believing in something incredible for your life is just a fantasy, a day dream and we should stick to reality.
These ideas are common misconceptions that the average individual holds true to their experience in life. It is rooted in the ignorance of what we are, and what we are connected to. When a person believes they are a separate thing in a universe of separate things, they develop the idea that anything they would desire for their lives must be 'gotten' because it is separate from them.
It is only by appearance that things are separate from you. When you look through your physical eyes, your eyes tell you that you are separate from the things you are observing. If you look at a car you see the car is separate from you. If you look at another person you can see they are also separate from you. We can see how the earth, the moon and sun are separate from each other. What we lack is the understanding to see all things are actually connected.
However, it is what we can't see with our physical eyes wherein the truth can be found. In truth, we are connected with everything and everything is connected with us. Both science and theology essentially tell us the same thing. Science says everything is energy, it can neither be created nor destroyed and is omnipresent. Theology says that everything is spirit and spirit can neither be created nor destroyed and is omnipresent.
We create our life according to our belief system. Everything we have in our life right now is a result of what we believe, so when we change our beliefs, we change our life.
If we look at our current circumstances, we fall into the false trap of thinking if I change my circumstances my life will change. This leads to much frustration. We can not change the circumstances, we must change the cause. When we go to the cause of the problem, which is our belief system and change that first, we then find a wonderful new world of purpose, possibilities and promise unfolds.
You will know you are believing and not just wishing or hoping when your thoughts, emotions and actions are all in harmony and it requires no conscious effort. Remember what it feels like to fall in love? You do not have to consciously think of the other person, they are constantly on your mind. You can feel how good it feels to be with them even when you are apart. You take action to show them you care. Truly believing feels much the same. Your thoughts feelings and actions are all in harmony.
Napoleon Hill said, 'There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not mere hope or wish'.
The most exciting thing about believing is when we truly believe, we can expect what most people would call a miracle. Opportunities, possibilities and circumstance appear as if by magic. 'JUST BELIEVE'
