Did you know is national tire safety week? Do you know why we have national tire safety week? Do you remember all the Ford Explorers which had rollover problems in killed many people. Remember that Firestone was blamed for all this even though everyone knows that the Ford Explorers were top-heavy. While this is a tragedy it has also spurred industry and the entire automotive sector to do something about. And that's something is national tire safety week.

So, who was involved in national tire safety week? Well, just about all auto motive shops, new car dealerships, the rubber industry and the large automakers. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) did a huge report showing that one in every three car accidents at least one or more of the cars in the accidents had under inflated tires. Statistics also show that in 2004 all were 660 fatal accidents were recorded which were attributed directly to under inflated tire pressure. Additionally over 33,000 injuries occur every year due to low tire pressure accidents.
